I saw Dr. deHoyos yesterday. The stitches were removed, we discussed next steps:
I see him every 3 months for a year
Then every 6 months for another year
Have a CT scan every six months for two years.
Continue my walking, breathing exercises
Continue taking and tapering off pain killersDone.
He will send and I will post an edited movie of the surgery and some still photographs.

The operation method is amazing, that those really small incisions could allow the surgeon to do what he did. Sounds like you are making great progress. I know you will be elated when you can get to the lake. We thought of you two as we drove up to Mentone for a few days last week. Ellen’s dad had property there that he wanted to give to a land trust to keep it in its natural state forever. We just completed the final papers to do just that, and we spent a few days at a B & B close to his land. It was beautiful there, with some days very cool.
